Never Once

If you have read my blog posts recently, you would know that I have been struggling with how things have been going. The other night, I will be honest and say that I was crying out to God and asking where He was in everything and what He was doing since I was not able to see Him at work and didn’t know why I was in Dallas. That’s hard to say since ministry is my passion and I truly do enjoy the organization that I am working with and the people I am working with but ministry isn’t always easy. With that being said, I attended the same 2 churches that I attended last week and at both churches they played 1 song in common which was called “Never Once” by Matt Redman and I can honestly say that it was the answer to my prayer and crying out to God the other night. It was a reminder that never once have I walked alone in this journey and when I was discouraged last week, God was there walking with me.

It also goes along with my favorite poem, which is footprints in the sand. I had forgotten to remember that God’s there with us in every high and every low and that He’s walking with us in our life journey. If you have never heard the song that I am talking about then I hope you will take the time to listen to it right now and allow it to be a reminder that God’s in this journey of life with you. No matter what trials you may be facing and no matter where you are at in life, God’s right there with you and He’s faithful. So, don’t forget that God’s walking with us in our life journeys and He wants us to cry out to Him and look to Him when we are in need. He is always there so look to Him for strength, comfort, or whatever it is that you need. May this blog post be a reminder to you as well as an encouragement.

Truly listen to the words of this song and allow it to minister and speak to you, where ever you may be in life right now. And if you have any prayer requests, please let me know since I would love to be praying for each one of you guys!

Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we’ve come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us

Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Carried by Your constant grace
Held within Your perfect peace
Never once, no, we never walk alone

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we’ll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

  1. I totally understand you on this. I definitely had a time since being in Missouri, where everything looked crazy and I had no clue where God was in the midst of everything, but He showed up for me and is opening doors already, and really speaking to me and leading me :) So be encouraged, He's still around :)
