It’s Official and what's next?

Last week I found out that I was officially accepted to work with the Dallas leadership Foundation (http://www.dlftx.org/) for the next 2 years as my US-2 placement site. I couldn’t be more pleased about the placement and where things are taking me. A few days before getting the news of my acceptance at this site, I can honestly say that a feeling came over me of belonging. I knew without a doubt that I was where I was supposed to be and that this placement site was where God was leading me.

Now that I know my placement site, I now have to start the fundraising process where I have to raise $2500 for the first year and then $3500 for the second year. While I have little experience with raising support, this process has left me asking the question, how am I going to raise this amount? However, with the need to raise the funds, it leaves me having to keep trust in God that He will provide for me and provide the funds that I need to raise. I know God has brought me where I am at for a reason and I look forward to the next 2 years.

I leave July 23rd for training in New York for 3 weeks and then will be leaving for Dallas, Texas at the end of August for the rest of my time as a missionary! I know I am excited about training, getting to know the other Young Adult missionaries (both US-2’s and Mission Interns), and starting my work in Texas.

Before traing, I will be getting together some support letters and making a list of potential donors/ supportors. I will also be completing some more paper work as well as reading a few articles that will help prepair me for training and what it is that I will be doing for the next 2 years!

If you would like to support me please message me at hjterrell@bsugmail.net and I would be glad to get more information to you as well as how you could be praying for me and the mission work that I am getting ready to embark on.
